7 Perfect Starter Homes For Sale In Belfast – Under £150k

The time has come – you’re finally ready to leave the world of renting and enter the era of homeownership. At long last, you’ll have a place to call your own. No more calls to the landlord to fix your boiler, you can decorate as you please and maybe even get that dog you’ve been dreaming of.

But although, it’s an exciting time, looking for the perfect starter home in Belfast can be a tough job. When you don’t have the biggest budget, it can seem like your options are limited, it’s hard to know if you’re getting value for money and there can be fierce competition for key areas, like Ballyhackamore, Ormeau or Stranmillis.

1. 30 AVA DRIVE, ORMEAU ROAD, BELFAST – Asking Price £145,000

The Ormeau Road has long been a popular spot in Belfast for first time buyers. It’s close to the city centre and has loads of great eateries and bars right on your doorstep. Plus Ormeau Park is one of the city’s best outdoor spaces for a dog walk, a chill in the sun or catching Belsonic gigs. This three bedroom mid terrace home is in a great part of the area, just tucked off the Main Street. It has a super stylish finish, which means you’ll have nothing to do, fix or change when you move in. It’s pretty spacious and even has a little backyard to relax in.

2. 4 CONNSBROOK PARK, BELFAST – Offers Around £104,950

For just over £100k, this property is a real bargain that, we think, will be snapped up in a heartbeat. It’s in the Sydenham area in the east of the city –  a handy spot for the commute and close to Belmont and Ballyhackamore villages. The home itself has been recently refurbished and has an openplan layout which adds a seriously modern feel. The colour palette is muted and neutral which not only makes it contemporary but means it’s the perfect blank canvas to really make it your own.

3. 28 LISAVON DRIVE, BELFAST – Offers Around £115,000

Also located in East Belfast, is this three bedroom home just outside Belmont. The house is completely open plan, which gives it a quirkier look. it’s been perfectly finished with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Although its been tastefully decorated by the current owners, when you strip away the furnishings, it actually has really minimalist aesthetic – grey walls, white fittings and wooden floor. A huge bonus with this property is also the spacious backyard, which is often a commodity when it comes to starter homes (particular mid terrace ones) in Belfast.

4. 31 WOODVALE ROAD, BELFAST – Price £119,950

A four bedroom home for under £120k in Belfast isn’t something we come across very often, unless it’s a property which requires a good deal of refurbishment. With this home on the Woodvale Road, however, you could move right in with no fuss. It’s super spacious, set over three floors and has a great modern kitchen. Although it’s on the outskirts of Belfast, it has handy transport links to the city centre.

5.116 AVONIEL ROAD, BEERSBRIDGE ROAD, BELFAST – Asking Price £79,950

If you like the look of this East Belfast property, you’ll have to act fast because at that price, it’s certainly not going to sit on the market for long. It might not be the most spacious home on the list, but with two bedrooms it would be perfect for a young couple or someone buying on their own. It’s close to lots of shops and schools and it’s just a short commute to the city centre.

6. 47 TORRENS CRESCENT, BELFAST – Offers Around £79,950

Another one under £80k is this end terrace in North Belfast – an area where we’ve seen interest soaring recently. This home ticks all the boxes with three good size bedrooms, a modern finish and even a back garden and patio area.

7. 47 GLENBROOK AVENUE, BLOOMFIELD – Offers Around £99,950

Having undergone recent refurbishment, this East Belfast property comes at a very attractive price. It has a good amount of space and the kind of kitchen and bathroom you’d expect from a turnkey new build.
